Some users have reported video playback issues which have almost exclusively been local internet bandwidth or computer resources related.

Internet Bandwidth

Velocity requires an internet connection to run live or on-demand (VOD) classes with a recommended download speed of >4mbps. It can and does playback at lower speeds, but it is more likely that there will be issues.

The best way to do a speed test is to execute the following protocol:

PC/MacBooks

  1. Close all non-relevant tabs in Chrome except the Velocity app tab

  2. Open a new tab and enter:

  3. Perform a speed test

  4. If your download speeds are less than 4mbps, that is likely the source of the video performance issues

iPad

If you're having issues with your iPad, it is most often that your model is an older model (<2018) or you have too many other apps consuming resources.

Best practice: Close out of all non-essential apps to limit resource drag

Speed test protocol:

  1. Launch Safari on your iPad

  2. Close all non-relevant tabs

  3. Open a new tab and enter:

  4. Perform a speed test

  5. If your download speeds are less than 4mbps, that is likely the source of the video performance issues
